I'm a Senior Data Engineer and AI/ML researcher with over a decade of experience building systems that actually work at scale — and publishing research on why they should. My day-to-day involves designing data pipelines, building machine learning models, and figuring out how AI can move healthcare from reactive to proactive.
I've been doing this in both academia and industry. On the research side, I've published 33 peer-reviewed papers and accumulated over 1,000+ citations. On the engineering side, I'm currently a Senior Data Engineer at The Kroger Co., working on large-scale data infrastructure that powers enterprise decision-making.
One of the projects I'm most proud of is developing AI-embedded smart contact lenses that continuously monitor health metrics in real time — glucose levels, intraocular pressure, ocular health indicators. That work led to a published paper, international press coverage across three continents, and a registered patent.
